This artifact is a conceptual systems-architecture and ecological review framework. It maps ecosystem reclamation as a life-first repair architecture using HIR/OAM pressure-form logic. It does not certify, validate, permit, or prescribe any real restoration project.

Any real-world implementation requires local ecological assessment, soil/water/air testing, habitat surveys, Indigenous/local stewardship review, regulatory review, professional ecological design, longitudinal monitoring, and public accountability.
Core Thesis
An ecosystem is repaired only when life-supporting continuity returns: soil, water, air, biodiversity, habitat, food-web integrity, microbial health, watershed function, pollinator continuity, human stewardship, and regenerative feedback.
If degradation is moved downstream, buried, diluted, outsourced, or offset without repair, the ecosystem was not reclaimed. The pressure was displaced.

HIR / OAM / DDM Defined
Honesty · Integrity · Respect
Honesty means measuring reality correctly. Do not count tree planting as forest recovery if survival, biodiversity, soil health, water cycling, and habitat continuity are not improving.
Integrity means the repair loop holds across soil, water, air, habitat, species, microbes, human land use, and monitoring.
Respect means ecological boundaries, community boundaries, Indigenous/local knowledge boundaries, watershed boundaries, downstream communities, future generations, and living systems are not reduced to extraction substrate.
Outsourced Agency Model / Mechanics
The degradation pathway where agency, accountability, truth, inspection, or correction is displaced away from the person, institution, company, government, or system that must remain responsible under pressure.
Degradation Displacement Mechanics
When ecological pressure is not repaired but moved elsewhere: upstream to downstream, land to water, soil to air, local pollution to exported waste, habitat loss to carbon offset, visible damage to hidden contamination, or short-term cleanup to long-term monitoring debt.

Repair Loop Completion Map
The ecosystem repair loop is complete only when action returns to monitoring and changes future routing. A project that stops at “repair action routed” is an intervention, not restoration.
ECF_t = Ecological Completion Fidelity. An intervention is only complete if support is proportional, ecological absorption occurs, life-condition indicators improve, pressure is not dumped downstream, community stewardship is not bypassed, maintenance is assigned, and monitoring returns into future action.
Not Reclaimed Unless Life Conditions Return
- A planted tree is not forest recovery if it dies in year two.
- A wetland is not restored if it floods downstream communities or receives untreated runoff.
- A cleanup is not complete if the source of contamination remains active.
- A carbon offset is not ecological repair if biodiversity, soil, water, and habitat are still degraded.
- A dashboard success is not restoration if the living system remains unstable.
- A park beautification project is not reclamation if it displaces pollution, heat, flooding, or vulnerable communities elsewhere.
Respectful Human–Ecosystem Boundary
Respecting ecosystems does not mean excluding humans from land. Respecting communities does not mean treating nature as disposable infrastructure.
HIR requires both: restore ecological continuity, and preserve human dignity, access, livelihood, cultural relationship, and local stewardship.
Not Humans-as-Virus Boundary
This artifact does not frame humans as a planetary disease. Human extraction, neglect, displacement, and false accounting are failure modes. Human stewardship, local knowledge, repair labor, care, restraint, and long-term responsibility are part of ecological continuity.
Repair Without Capture
- Restoration must not become land capture.
- Conservation must not become community removal.
- Data collection must not become extraction.
- Carbon accounting must not become ecological laundering.
- Indigenous/local knowledge must not be mined without authority, attribution, consent, and benefit.
- Public-private partnerships must not convert public ecological repair into private extraction.
Minimum Viable Ecological Continuity Floor
When full restoration cannot happen immediately, the honest holding pattern includes:

Future Mars Boundary
This artifact is Earth-first. A future Mars / off-world ecological life-support architecture would require a separate artifact and cannot be treated as the same problem. Earth ecosystem reclamation deals with damaged living systems. Mars ecosystem construction would deal with closed-loop life-support, planetary protection, ethics, contamination, and artificial habitat continuity. Do not merge them in this artifact.
